Search and Destroy Tactics

Subject: New plan for defense on Search Mon Apr 19, 2010 1:43 pm

This is for games of 4 v 4, 5 v 5, and 6 v 6.

From now on you will be given a bomb site or a middle ground position to cover.
In matchmaking and Game Battles you will be responsible for these positions.

Example:

Rdogg09 - "A" or Alpha bomb cover.
Lightvader - "B" or Bravo bomb cover.
Jock itch - "M" for middle ground support.

In our matchmaking matches from now on we will incorporate these positions into our clan tags.
For example iDzA, iDzB, and iDzM
I will start assigning positions Tuesday night. If you have a request, let me know.
Also if you don't get any kills in the first match, you may be subbed out for another member for the second.
That includes me.

If it's a 5 v 5 match and we lose a teammate at Bravo, the middle ground position will move into B on whichever side is closer to the middle of the two bomb sites. The existing Bravo position player will move his location towards the outside of Bravo, further away from the middle. We have to have consistency! Once we pick our positions and put them into affect, we will then work on our offense.

That works for me . We all just need to set down and go over each map for places that work.

Last night we implemented this plan and I would have to say it was a major success.
We won 7 straight matches and three of them we went 4-0.
Our defense was nearly flawless.

One major complaint I heard though was that people weren't used to playing certain positions. I think everyone learned fast that this was part of training. It helps in the long run, especially if you have to clutch the game. I was surprised that the team moved from position to position easily covering sides that were unbalanced. I believe this is a plan we will stick with. No worries though, if you don't like a position, you will only be there a week at a time. A will move to B, B to Middle, and Middle to A on a weekly basis.

plus capt crunch cuts the roof of your mouth. If you aren't careful some sort of infection will start such as staff in your mouth and he will kill you before you can get close to him. But I suppose you can snipe him that way at least you got him before you die.

oh and also if we are going to implement those assignments on the bombs maybe we can do numbers so it's not very obvious.What I mean about that is let's say that I'm having a bad game or night (which is often) and I'm assigned to "a", they can exploit that weakness before we even start the next round. Just an idea.
